Frente a los cambios en Europa en el siglo xix, los contrarrevolucionarios se juntan al nivel internacional para defender mejor sus ideas. Lo vemos con dos importantes periodistas de la época: el francés Louis Veuillot y el español Antonio Aparisi y Guijarro. Desarrollan argumentos parecidos en el marco de un ideario común, con la consciencia de que el combate político tiene lugar en todo el continente, lo que proporciona intercambios intelectuales y personales importantes. Su actitud frente al ámbito revolucionario de 1870 y la originalidad de su pensamiento permiten hablar de una Internacional neo-católica fundada en un catolicismo intransigente.
Facing the changes of Europe in the xixth century, counterrevolutionaries join their forces at an international scale in order to hold better their ideas. We can see it with two important journalists of that time: French Louis Veuillot and Spanish Antonio Aparisi y Guijarro. They use similar arguments within the framework of a common ideology, being conscious that their political struggle takes place in the whole continent and based on important intellectual and personal exchanges. Their attitude facing the revolutionary context of 1870 and the originality of their ideology allows to speak of a neo-catholic International grounded on an intransigent catholicism.
